店構えがなんともゴージャスで気になってたお店、先日時間があってとうとう潜入してみました。
メニューが表に飾ってあるので、通るたびに眺めてたんですが、割と高価な・・・
これを食すに値するのは私ではないということは自覚していました（笑）しかしながら、ウィンドーの中で楽しく食事をされてる気品ある高貴なお客様方を見てると興味のそそる世界。
意を決して潜入！（と、いうのもモンサンクレールに入りたかったのに激混みだったので諦めたから）
愛想と抑揚のない対応の女性スタッフに案内されて、ウィンドー側の外から丸見え席に着席しました。
再び愛想と抑揚のない女性スタッフの説明を受けてメニューに目を通します。
どれも美味しそうだし・・・高いですわ（←言い方がもう貴婦人気取り・・・だけど言ってる事は下層階級）
季節柄、モンブラン系が多かったので、パフェかプレートか迷い、パフェをガツガツ食べる貴婦人気取りの自分を想像したらイタかったのでプレートにしました。（しかもボッチだし）
私のテーブルに着陸したのはこれ
見事な栗を再現（笑）見た目でもう「おぉ〜〜〜〜〜〜」ですよね。私も心の中で叫びました（ボッチなので）愛想も抑揚もない女性スタッフ（しつこい）が説明をしてくれます。ちょっと高揚してたので覚えてない。ただ、持ってきた時にガラスのカバーがかかっていて、それを上げると煙がふわ〜と立ち込めて、それがウィスキー「ジャックダニエル」の樽のチップで燻製した煙だとか。酒通ではないので良くわからないけど、高貴な感じはしました。←やはり下層階級
さて、どっから食べるのか・・・まぁ普通に考えたら栗をかち割る事から始めるべきだろうということでナイフとフォークを手に取り、フォークを刺そうにも歯が立たない・・・まずいこのままではガンッと皿に打ち付けて下手したらこの栗が丸ごと飛んでいってしまう・・・こんな時にやらかすのが私、その危険な結果は容易に想像できる。
慎重にナイフで押さえつつフォークを刺し、ぐりぐりと刺しこんでいく・・・この時の私を側から見たら真剣な顔で栗と戦う勇姿が勇ましく見えただろう・・・押し込む度に頑なにかたい栗が下のイガを模したソフトな部分に食い込んで潰れていく・・・あーーー崩れてるぅ悪戦苦闘して時が流れる。
緊張の時間が過ぎていき、やっと中身を確認する事ができた。
ちょっと汚いんですが、下のイガの中にはカシスのソルベとほうじ茶のエスプーマ、上の鋼鉄のチョコ栗の中には、マロンアイスとマロングラッセが詰まってました。美味しい。
上品だけど、ちゃんとマロンの風味がして、チョコの相性やカシスのソルベとのバランスもいい！私はマロンアイスがお気に入りになりました（お代わりできないけど・・・当たり前）
全体的に食感や風味も全部楽しめるようになってます。目でも楽しめて食感も楽しめる感じがいい！食べるのはちょっと大変な作りになってるから、お友達とキャイキャイ言いながら楽しめていいかも（私はボッチだけど←しつこい）
店内はそんなに広くないけど、並んで・・・って感じではなさそうでした。ピーク時間とかもあるかもしれませんが、私は夕方でしたが、空いていてすんなり席に案内してもらえたし、オーダーが遅いなどもありませんでした。窓際に座ると外が丸見えなので、外を歩いてる方々と目が合います。私は外のベンチで寛いでる老人とバッチリ目が合い、なんだかちょっと気不味い空気を感じました。それだけがちょっとこのお店の「う〜〜ん」なところ、スタッフの対応も「んん・・・・」ですが気になるほどではありません。
お店のコンセプトとしてブランド創業から18年、日本に合うショコラを追い求め続けているお店だそうで、ボンボンショコラもそうですが、外国製らしいチョコの風味はせず、全体的に柔らかい口当たりのいいチョコでした。ある意味日本人に合う上品なチョコの味だと思います。
